Mind yourself
Today, I am reminded that my body is more human than my mind. It croaks in the morning,
and bubbles in the wind.
It pops blisters and bleeds red, even though it fills blue on the inside.
Today I am reminded that my mind is soul. Wandering beyond the picket fence,
picking at scabs that ooze yesterday’s woes.
I am half flesh
and a cup runneth over of nothing and everything. My existence is a mystery to someone
I thought I knew well.
I wonder if body and soul will ever have a cup of coffee together
and discuss why they decided to go
separate ways.
