Anger

Anger is a strange thing. It’s such a carnal, yet, inhuman emotion. For those to exist synonymously is dangerous. Anger inhibits us. It causes us to stop seeing our enemies as human. And, when we stop seeing people, as human, we stop seeing their pain, their ability to be vulnerable. When we stop seeing the pain in others, we stop seeing our ability to hurt. You lose your capacity to take responsibility for the pain you cause upon a figure who you are unable to see as feeling being.

This doesn’t apply to just strangers. Even if in quick doses, sometimes we lose the ability to see our loved ones as hurting or hurt-able beings–especially, if our own anger is clouded by hurt. Objectively speaking, that’s the most dangerous type of anger.
